Be strong and of good courage, do not fear or be in dread of them: for it is the LORD your God who goes with you; he will not fail you or forsake you.

Reflection
We should not allow our fears to control us for it hinders our growth with Christ and prevents His Love from shinning through us to our neighbor.  Fear debilitates the soul that if forgets how to love and prevents love from entering into our hearts; we become wrapped up in fear that we reject love in its most basic forms— a hug; a smile; a kind word; or simply saying “I love you.”

He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers.

2 Corinthians 1:10-11 (via wreckedsolitaryhere)
And his mercy is on those who fear him from generation to generation.
He has shown strength with his arm, he has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts,
he has put down the mighty from their thrones, and exalted those of low degree;
he has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent empty away.

1 John 4:17-18

wreckedsolitaryhere:

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

1 John 5:13-15

wreckedsolitaryhere:

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
