Children of God, Dearly Loved (1 John 3)

wreckedsolitaryhere:

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!

Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears,we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.

(1 John 3:1;2-3)

What is the Primary goal in the education of children?

Happy baby enjoys the sun!!!

“The Primary goal in the education of children is to teach, and to give example of, a virtuous life.”

St. John Chrysostom

Saint Macarius said…

“In preparing your children for life in the world, have you taken care to plant in their hearts faith and fear of God, which will be their guides in the future? Pray to teh Lord that He protect their hearts from the tares which are sown among the wheat by the enemy.”

– St. Macarius

Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.

Romans 8: “The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace”

wreckedsolitaryhere:

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”  The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

Children are the fruit of love. The natural habitat of children is the family. A human civilization is a community of such sanctuaries. Our civilization will be reborn only as a community of sanctuaries.

Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.
