“We have a Shepherd who so loves us, that he gave even his life for us. When therefore he is both powerful and loves us, what is there to hinder us from being saved? Nothing, unless we ourselves revolt from him.” —St. John Chrysostom

Good Morning All. Have a beautiful Monday! You're ALIVE!

Today we remember St. Pius V. pope.

God has granted repentance even to the pagans…(Acts 11:18)

This exclamation of joy was uttered from the mouths of those listening to Peter and remains as valid today. Instead of shrugging our shoulders in the face of weakness or in the failings of our neighbour, let us renew our faith in the power of repentance contained in the death and resurrection of Jesus and in our participation in his sufferings, and we will find once again courage and joy.

“To ask catechumens: ‘Do you wish to receive Baptism?’ means at the same time to ask them: ‘Do you wish to become holy?’” —Blessed John Paul II

“How often we wish that God will show Himself stronger, that He would strike decisively, defeating evil and creating a better world. All ideologies of power justify themselves in exactly this way, they justify the destruction of whatever would stand in their way of progress and the liberation of humanity, We suffer on account of God’s patience, and yet, we need His patience. God who became a lamb tells us the world that it is saved by the crucified one, not by those who crucify him. The world is redeemed by the patience of God; it is destroyed by the impatience of man.” —Pope Benedict XVI, April 24, 2005

“Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.” —Romans 10:9-10 †
